VENICE BEACH
This series of photos from Venice Beach are now over a decade old and from the early days of my photography journey. Back then I had very little equipment at my disposal so all these photos were created using the very first digital SLR I owned and a cheap 50mm lens, all I could afford at the time. I’d been staying in LA with my friend Anwar who wanted to show me all the good stuff California had to offer. We took a stroll along the boardwalk that day exposing ourselves to Venice’s bohemian spirit pointing our cameras at anything that sparked interest. I was drawn to the eccentric characters dotted along the way but spent most of my time hanging out at the bustling skate park people-watching as the sun came down. These were good times. Simple times.
